UX Researcher at Immersive Lab
The Immersive Lab at AP University College Antwerp is looking for a motivated UX Researcher. The lab specializes in immersive experiences through various technologies, including Virtual and Augmented Reality, 360° video, 3D scanning, and generative AI.

Responsibilities:
Engage in various research projects and service trajectories of the Immersive Lab, focusing on practical user research and user testing for immersive experiences.
Conduct specialized user research and user testing focusing on the unique characteristics and experiences of immersive technologies.
Keep knowledge and skills up-to-date around immersive user research, e.g., eyetracking in VR.
Map the needs, preferences, and characteristics of potential user groups and measure the impact for the VR/AR experience, e.g., usability, user experience, behavioral change, learning yield, or pain management.
Use both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including focus groups, in-depth interviews, survey research, user testing, and experimental research.
Analyze research results critically and communicate them effectively to field and academic partners through reports, lectures, demos, publications, etc.
Profile:
All-round researcher capable of conducting both quantitative and qualitative research.
Fascinated by the latest immersive technologies.
Familiar with practical research or willing to quickly learn.
Proficient in Office 365 applications and academic software like SPSS or Nvivo.
Able to translate research results into practical insights or products.
Strong in planning and organization with excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch; English is a plus.
Experience with writing external funding applications or willing to learn.
Enthusiastic about collaboration and able to work independently after discussions.
Offer:
Salary based on barema 502.

The position is 40% full-time, starting from 01-11-2023 to 15-09-2024, with the possibility of extension.
Workplace is located in Antwerp.
Requirements:
Possession of a master's degree, preferably in Communication or Psychology.
Preferably some research experience at a knowledge institution or in the field.
