Lab & Communication Manager Immersive Lab
The Immersive Lab at AP University College Antwerp is seeking a dynamic Lab & Communication Manager. The lab is an expertise center for immersive experiences through various technologies like Virtual and Augmented Reality, 360° video, 3D scanning, and generative AI.

Responsibilities:
Manage the lab’s daily operations and state-of-the-art research infrastructure.
Support researchers in various projects and service trajectories.
Organize the lending service and research infrastructure.
Communicate about research, services, and workshops, managing the webpage, newsletters, and presentations.
Organize events and build a community with organizations, fieldwork, and research partners.
Responsible for “Blikopener” initiatives, conducting advisory talks with companies, and analyzing their needs.
Possess basic skills in user research or willing to learn to support the immersive user research team.
Organize workshops and field inquiries.
Profile:
Passionate about immersive experiences via Virtual and Augmented Reality.
Excellent bilingual communication skills in Dutch and English.
Proficient in Office 365 applications; experience with creative tools is a plus.
Organizational skills and initiative are crucial.
Enthusiastic about working collaboratively to promote the Immersive Lab regionally and internationally.
Offer:
Salary based on barema 316.
Benefits include free hospitalization insurance, full reimbursement for public transport or bike allowance, a laptop, and an internet allowance.
The position is 80% full-time, starting from 01-11-2023 to 15-09-2024, with the possibility of extension.
Workplace is located in Antwerp.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communication, Event Management, or a related field.
Preferably some experience in a communicative or organizational role.
